Halloween Fitness Hunt - P.E, Indoor Recess, Brain Breaks, Fall Fun

This fast-paced fall activity will get your kids up and moving and having lots of fun. This game is very easy to play, requires no special equipment and can be played in a variety of ways. Halloween Fitness fun is great for PE, brain breaks, indoor recess and Halloween/Fall fun activity. Just print and go and you are off to a fabulous fun fall activity.

Students will hunt for the Halloween cards (witch, Frankenstein, mummy, skeleton and vampire). When they find a card, they will match it up to their task card and complete that exercise. You can either hide the cards around the room, hang them around the room or deal them out like a deck of cards. You can also do this whole group and put the task card on your projector and deal out cards to each student or entire class. The kids love when I mix this game up. You can also consider adding a cardio boost and have the kids complete one walking or running lap of the room before starting the next card. I also change task cards throughout the game, so students must complete a variety of game cards. We turn on music so every time the song changes, they must change task cards with a partner or small group.

Included in this resource are 6 different task cards so kids will not always get the same exercises. I have not assigned a set number on the exercises so you can have the flexibility across the grade levels to assign your own number to complete. Also included is 10 of each Halloween character cards. The characters include a witch, vampire, Frankenstein, skeleton and a mummy.

This activity was created to meet the SHAPE National PE Standards and will reinforce many of the concepts that a typical PE teacher would use throughout the school year. Use this activity to help your students reinforce key concepts and encourage full body movement.
