Description

Students will create Halloween designs with this coordinate geometry activity.

Have students create their own designs on a coordinate grid, using a Halloween theme. Students will practice plotting points, identifying coordinates on a grid, labeling a coordinate grid etc.

I have included:

-2 Student printable sheets (one asks students to create a basic design; the second also requires students to translate, rotate or reflect the design)

-5 mystery Halloween designs that my students have created -the lists of coordinates and the actual pictures

The pictures that I've included are at varying levels of difficulty for built-in differentiation. There is a witch's hat, a candy piece, a jack-o-lantern, a witch's face and a witch and cat on a broom.

Your students will love this combination of Math and creativity - just in time for Halloween!
