Help your students develop a growth mindset by introducing them to 30 famous failures, or overcomers. These are people who experienced one or more failures on their paths to fame, fortune, and success. Print and play using 24 pre-made bingo cards. The teacher reads a bingo calling card aloud, stating a setback and success. Students use those clues to identify the overcomer. Other printables include completed charts and blank charts for notes and research. Students LOVE finding out that the rich and famous do not always succeed at everything!
Play this game digitally using Easel Activities. Students can use the bingo card that corresponds to their classroom number or randomly choose a card. A teacher draws a calling card and reads the clues aloud. This can be in a classroom setting or online via a video conferencing platform like Zoom. Students use the pen tool to mark the correct answer if it is on their bingo card.
