Description

WORD ROOTS are especially important for STEM students. A strong vocabulary foundation will strengthen subject area reading comprehension and boost test-taking confidence. In addition, many of these roots are transferable to other subject areas.

I've put together a bundle of exercises that will help with STEM vocabulary comprehension for the math number roots UNI, BI, TRI and QUAD/QUART. These include:

1) 3-Column Charts
2) Root Maps
3) "Growing Roots" template (small) for bookmarks or key rings
4) A variety of other 1/2 page exercises for each root.

YOU CAN USE these versatile exercises for:

Whole-class warmups
Independent work
Homework
Study Guides
Assessments

Instructions and teacher keys included for all items.
