Groundhog Day is a yearly tradition held on February 2nd where a groundhog, named Punxsutawney Phil, predicts how long winter will last. Celebrate this special holiday with this creative groundhog craft project!

In this pack:
Reading:
Have students read the passage all about groundhogs and answer the comprehension questions. An answer key is included. Students could work with a partner, or you can use it as a centers/station activity.
Groundhog Craft:
Students can answer the questions on the flip book pages using the reading passage. Lastly, they cut, color, and assemble the groundhog craft and attach the flip-up booklet to the inside of the groundhog's mouth.
