Graphing with counting, tally marks & graphing sheets - I Spy WINTER

Looking for a Winter Math activity that has your learners practicing their one-to-one counting and graphing skills? This pack has 11 different counting pages (with different levels of difficulty) for practicing 1 to 1 counting, writing numbers, tally marks, and recording their data in a graph, you choose the skill and level of difficulty you want your learners working on.

As your learners pour over their Winter I Spy picture to find and count the characters, they are also practicing visual discrimination and comparing which are important skills for our learners to develop.

these pictures have you covered with great student engagement. They can work on the pages individually or in pairs or groups - the choice is yours.

Just choose the sheet that suits your students the best. There is a variety of difficulty with the pages, both in the style of characters, the number of characters, and how many of each character needs to be found. This allows you to vary the activity based on your students learning needs.

Prepping the Activity

• I recommend you laminate the sheets or use clear pockets so students can use dry-erase markers to check off the characters as they find them. This also allows you to use the pages again and again and year after year.

• You can also enlarge the pages when printing which allows you to have your students work in pairs or groups. This allows your students to double-check each other's counting and graphing and for you to pair based on mixed abilities.

• Once you have your pictures prepped it's then just a matter of deciding what skill you want your students to focus on with the recording sheets.
