Description

This does use design patent (US D892930). If you are using the same or a similar design, please contact for licensing.

Teach basic kindergarten through 5th grade on one sheet of paper. This is designed as a broad spectrum support for all students in math. The goal was to make a graphic organizer that could teach math without the use of language if possible.

  • The hundreds chart is surrounded by counting objects, directional arrows that increase or decrease in size, and a checkerboard column to note odds and evens.
  • This uses color: red and blue make purple; purple without red make blue.
  • This uses shapes: triangle and triangle make square; square without triangle make triangle. Combine that and the logic of math is obvious.
  • Colors and shapes are reused to create consistency.
  • Multiplication is demonstrated by ten separate tables, one for each number (1-10).

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Count to 100 by ones and by tens.
Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1).
Write numbers from 0 to 20. Represent a number of objects with a written numeral 0-20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects).
Understand the relationship between numbers and quantities; connect counting to cardinality.
When counting objects, say the number names in the standard order, pairing each object with one and only one number name and each number name with one and only one object.
