Grade 1 Module 5 Lessons 1-13 Concept Development Digital Lessons BUNDLE

This product doubles as full digital lessons for the Concept Development portion of Grade 1 Eureka Math and also includes independent practice with interactive Google slides following each lesson. No prep-work needed for 3 weeks of math lessons with 744 slides at a big discounted rate! These lessons support CCSS Measurement and Data CCSS.1.MD and Geometry CCSS.1.G.1, CCSS.1.G.2, and CCSS.1.G.3 as well as Standard Mathematical Practices SMP1-SMP7. It is designed for first grade (Module 5 Engage New York Eureka) but can also be used for second half of kindergarten or to supplement or enhance other curriculums as it focuses on the same standards. It can also serve as a great review for second or third grade!

This entire product line doubles as an interactive Google Slide digital lessons for the Concept Development portion Engage New York Eureka program to be displayed on your Smart Board or shared on your screen during your lesson, but also contains interactive Google slides for independent or small group practice after the whole group lessons to be assigned on Google Classroom or Seesaw to put the lesson into practice.

In this fifth module for first grade, the Math Detectives begin their investigations by defining and observing attributes and parts of 2D and 3D shapes. This is explored in real-world situations by closely examining objects at the park, restaurants, and classrooms. Your students will help with the Math Detectives' investigations with their own manipulatives as well as use of their whiteboards to draw out and discuss how shapes can be combined to make new shapes. Next they explore how shapes can be divided, or partitioned, into equal and unequal parts. This investigation takes place at a pizza parlor where special shaped pizzas are ordered as well as in a yummy cafe as cakes, brownies, and more pastries are cut into halves and quarters. Students will then investigate the parts of a clock and examine how the clock is partitioned into 5 minute segments and focus particularly on the whole hour and hour for time telling situations (again in real world situations with which students can identify).

Use these lessons as whole group shared on your Interactive whiteboard in the classroom as your instructional lesson, shared on your screen on Google Meet or Zoom for distant learning, or as a small group lesson in present mode as a visual while teaching. Students will follow along using their individual whiteboards or notebooks, use classroom manipulatives (pattern blocks, 3D blocks, analog learning clocks), or even make your own manipulatives for enhanced hands on practice. Each slide is annotated with dialogue in speech bubbles to guide your lesson, but feel free to make it your own! Each slide is designed to serve as a foundation for which math discourse in the classroom can build and grow.

After the lessons are the independent slides for students. You can assign these slides in Google Classroom or on Seesaw (or any other program that supports Google slide products). Simply hold "ctrl" to select the slides you want to assign, go to file and make a copy. From there you can assign as you normally would on your preferred digital platform.
