Description

Are you looking for an informational writing unit for your first graders that connects to life science? This grow and change theme allows students to engage in the development of plants, animals and humans.

Eight prompts are included to support students' ability to develop a topic, form a main idea around that topic and organize relevant details/facts to support the main idea.

All the research for finding valuable resources to support each prompt is done for you, as this unit provides several online resources to support student writing.

Resource is in Google Slides to assign in Google Classroom, and includes a PDF version in Black and White for printing.
