Google Drive Rainforest Animal Research

Teaching your students about Brazil with the Summer games? This would be a perfect addition to your unit! Have your students explore and learn all about the Amazon Rain forest.

Help your students meet the common core standard of researching to build and present knowledge. Your students will research and integrate technology with this rain forest research report for google drive.

This product is like 2 in 1! Your students will begin by researching about a rain forest animal. Then, they will research and write and opinion paragraph on why we should take care of the rain forest. Have your students complete all or part of the projects!
Students will select an animal to research:
- Macaw
- Toucan
- Anaconda
- Blue Morpho Butterfly
- Leaf Cutter Ant
- Piranha
- Red-Eyed Tree Frog

During their research they will:
- Complete a KWL chart
- Fill in animal facts (habitat, diet, appearance, and scientific name)
- List fun facts they learned about their animal
- Can, have, are graphic organizer
- Venn Diagram
- Cite their sources
As they work to complete their paragraph students will research and cite their sources. Each slide is designed to build their writing ability and show growth. Students will transition from pre-writing and a rough draft to a typed paragraph!

The files are provided in full color in Google Slides. They are formatted for 8.5 x 11 and can easily be printed. **At this time black and white version for printer friendly printing are not included in this product.
