Description
This includes two separate lessons in Google Slides, both with the Pear Deck option built into the design:
**Activity #1: This Google Slides presentation takes students through rules for a good email, provides examples, and offers students a chance to practice writing emails. This is designed to work with a Pear Deck so that the teacher can project on students' devices as well as give feedback in-class. Everyone can benefit from seeing others' feedback (without knowing whose it was) because they are common student mistakes. With a standard class size, this can be customized to fit within a standard 45-minute class or time can be taken on each slide and can be used for a full block.
**Activity #2: Students are having to communicate using email, and this introduction will help them understand all the features they need to know while in school. This set of slides is meant for you to customize with your own videos so that you can demonstrate to your students with your school's specific setup. There are images on the video slides you can use to simply attach a link. The lesson is set up so that you can show the video and then quiz students on the next slide. Using the Slideshow feature, you'll be able to bring up the answers and illustrations after students have answered the question. If you use Pear Deck with your students, this file has the link to a Pear Deck version on the last slide. On average, this lesson will take roughly 60 minutes.
