Description
Tackle pronoun confusion with the Gingerkids! This simple and engaging resource is specifically designed to target the pronouns "he" and "she." Students will also gain practice increasing MLU while answering "Who" questions. Can be used receptively too!
I like to laminate the pages to create a book which I read to my students. Because of the repetitive language and motivating visuals, I'm finding it's not long before they're participating in answering the questions (e.g., "Who has a candy cane?") Many of my students are also benefitting from guidance to point to each word when answering (e.g., "She has a candy cane.")
Use receptively while targeting his/her by asking "Where" questions (e.g., "Where is his stocking?") and encouraging students to point to the corresponding "Gingerkid."
This resource compliments a holiday or Gingerbread Man theme well, but if your students are like mine and request Christmas materials year-round, you may end up getting even more mileage out of it than you think!
I hope you enjoy!
