Gingerbread Man CVC Words Games! Do your students need practice reading CVC words? This pack includes 120 cards with short vowel, cvc words. There are 3 ways to play, plus an assessment page! The fun Gingerbread Man theme makes this a great December center! Use this in small groups or in a work station!
Memory Style Game – Have students play as a Memory Style game by arranging 2 sets of the cards face down on a table. The first player turns over 2 cards. If they match they keep the pair and go again. If the cards do not match play continues with the next player.
CVC Card Game – Students take turns drawing a card and reading it. If they read it correctly they keep it. the student with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner but watch out for the special cards - you could lose a turn or have to give away a card!
Hide And Seek – Arrange the cards in a pocket chart and hide the candy cane piece behind a card. Students take turns "seeking" it by reading the word on the card they think it is hiding behind.
Assessment - Have students read the cards and then stamp the correct picture with a dot a dot marker.
