What educators are saying

This was a great quick resource. I used it for a student at summer school who had severe anxiety and didn't want to get on the bus. We read the story several times throughout the day, and it helped prep him for when the bus actually came. Thank you!
My students needed a little help with expectations for riding the bus after school. This resource has really helped with helping them understand the expectations. Thank you

Description

Getting on the Bus-Social Story is a simple social story to help students transition to riding the bus. The story is designed to be compiled as a book with the story pages of 8.5 x 11 inch size.

This product contains two stories. The first story can be used to help students transition at the end of the school day by riding the bus home. The second story can be used to help students at the beginning of the day to transition from home to riding the bus.

Each story is provided in two formats. The first format includes the story with graphics. This format allows you to print the story and use immediately.

The second format provides the story without graphics. This can be used by adding your own photographs of your student(s) within their environment. Some students will benefit from seeing themselves within the story context. This version also provides the option of the student drawing their own pictures.

You will also note that the story pages are not numbered. This lets you delete or add any pages as appropriate. If a student needs specific behavior addressed related to the story, you can easily write an additional page to focus on the behavior.
