Description

This art lesson features Artist Georgia O'Keeffe and her famous painting "Sky Above Clouds." In this lesson, we'll explore the life and work of Georgia O'Keeffe, and focus on her iconic painting "Sky Above Clouds". We'll talk about her use of color and form, and how she was inspired by the natural world around her. This lesson is perfect for kindergarten through 2nd graders.

Your students will also have the opportunity to create their own artwork inspired by O'Keeffe's style, using techniques like color blending and layering to create their own unique interpretation of the sky above clouds.

Not only will your students learn about Georgia O'Keeffe and her incredible contributions to the art world, but they'll also develop important critical thinking and problem-solving skills as they work on their own art projects. And with easy-to-follow instructions and materials lists, these lessons are perfect for teachers who don't have a background in art.

Plus, this lesson will inspire your students to appreciate the beauty of the natural world and see it in a whole new light. They'll learn how art can be used to express emotion and capture the essence of something as intangible as the sky above clouds.
