Geometry:Super Simple Segment Addition Postulate Proofs w/ Key

Are you introducing proofs for the first time? Are your students struggling with the concept of a proof? I have found that there are very few remediation worksheets on proofs and sometimes it is necessary to go slow until all students get the hang of proofs. It can be frustrating when the textbooks only include one or two examples.

I created this very straightforward study guide for beginner proofs. This particular study guide contains 10 proofs. The first 5 are all set up to use the basic Segment Addition Postulate. The second 5 are set up so that the student will set up the SAP but ultimately have to subtract.

The proofs are easy and repetitive but still contain 7 steps each. I have used this in my own classroom and it is a good way for the kids to see that proofs themselves can be repetitive once you get the "hang of it."
