Description

Here is my most comprehensive and accessible PowerPoint on challenging content to date. This extremely user friendly PowerPoint has animated step-by-step directions on Pythagorean Theorem, special right triangles, and Trigonometry. I love teaching Trig, and this PowerPoint is absolutely packed with concepts and practice. 75 slides with animations allow you to control the pace and amount of content. The vast majority are interactive practice slides (the best way to master Pythagorean Theorem and Trig is to practice, practice, practice). It is color-coded, and helps streamline the learning process. This PowerPoint could replace what is typically the ninth chapter of high school Geometry textbooks or help supplement them. It would also be helpful for a Trigonometry class. I utilize this PowerPoint in my classroom which completed this school year with a 91% pass rate on the Florida Geometry End of Course Exam (compared to the state average of 63%).

You will find the easy to understand definitions, many example problems, and a huge number of practice slides extremely useful in assisting instruction. Content covered includes perfect squares, multiplying and dividing radicals, Pythagorean Theorem, special right triangles (45-45-90 and 30-60-90), Trigonometry, sine, cosine, tangent, and much more. I have spent well over one hundred hours working on this resource, and it is more comprehensive and accessible than anything I have been able to find on the internet. This PowerPoint is much broader in scope than my free download, but I would encourage you to look at the free download as it is similar in style. Download the preview file for this PowerPoint. Click through and see for yourself. I plan on posting 12 PowerPoints (one for each chapter in our textbook). Whether you are a high school, middle school, or elementary school math teacher, you will find this to be an engaging tool. A person could easily teach him/herself about Pythagorean Theorem and Trigonometry with this PowerPoint. Enjoy!
