What educators are saying

The students loved building the shapes with the geoboards. I used this with k-2 steam class and a self-contained special education class. They loved it. It was challenging and the kids enjoyed it. Easy to prep and I kept these copies with the geoboard to use on a rainy day or quickly with a sub.

Description

Geoboard Task Cards Activity Fall

This is a set of fall geoboard activity cards that have so much variety and are differentiated for your needs. There are ten different geoboard pictures: Leaf (1), leaf (2), apple, pumpkin, rake, acorn, tree, basket, corn and a mushroom. Each geoboard task card picture comes in an easy or challenging level. Within each level, you have a choice of a geoboard card that shows the bands or a simple line (which allows the students choice). You have the option to print a colored version or black/white version of the geoboard task cards. You can print these as full pages or select the size you want when you go to print (4 to a page, 2 to a page or more).

Identify shapes as two-dimensional (lying in a plane, “flat”) or three-dimensional (“solid”).
Analyze and compare two- and three-dimensional shapes, in different sizes and orientations, using informal language to describe their similarities, differences, parts (e.g., number of sides and vertices/“corners”) and other attributes (e.g., having sides of equal length).
Model shapes in the world by building shapes from components (e.g., sticks and clay balls) and drawing shapes.
Compose simple shapes to form larger shapes. For example, “Can you join these two triangles with full sides touching to make a rectangle?”
