Description
Jazz up your end of day routine with these fun farewell rituals! I use these with my own students, to add a rhyming good-bye to the end of the day. I have them posted by my back door and as each child leaves he/she chooses a farewell for me to say to them. It becomes a beloved ritual, ending the day on a positive note! I find that it really helps build a positive classroom environment too! Having a special way to say good-bye at the end of the day is another bond between teacher and student. Since the farewells all rhyme, it is also built-in rhyming practice for my ELL students who need to hear rhymes as often as possible!
