I love being able to fit in all aspects of the French language curriculum while focusing on a specific theme or set of vocabulary for a month. It makes it easier to plan and students can focus on acquiring a set of new vocabulary with each unit.

My students love having a new theme every month, as it keeps them engaged, keeps things interesting, and by the end of the year, they feel like they have learned SO MUCH new French vocabulary (which is the goal!)
