Description
Get your FSL students speaking in the target language with this French At the Farm Guess the Image digital game! Perfect for learning/reviewing vocabulary related to la ferme et les animaux de la ferme as well as French interrogative sentence structures. Students try to guess the insect themed images by asking questions to their teacher/another classmate/le Mini-Prof. A numbered tile is removed every time a question is asked. This product can be used virtually or as an in-person activity! Simply open the file in Microsoft PowerPoint™ PRESENT MODE and have fun with your class!
PLEASE NOTE: this resource will only work with Microsoft PowerPoint™
How To Play this Game:
- Open the file in Microsoft PowerPoint™ PRESENT MODE
- Go over the rules of the game (included in the slideshow)
- Go over some interrogative sentence structures (included in the slideshow)
- Have students take turns asking a question in order to remove a numbered tile from the hidden image (ex. "Est-ce que c'est petit?")
- Once a student is ready to guess the hidden image, they will say "Je peux deviner l'image!" and must do so using a complete sentence (ex. "C'est un poussin.")
- The next slide will reveal the image along with the answer in a complete sentence
How to Use This Game:
- During a morning/afternoon in-class meeting
- During a morning/afternoon virtual meeting
- During morning/afternoon attendance
- As a transition activity
- As an oral communication activity
- As a reward activity
- As a review activity (new vocabulary under study)
- In literacy centers
- As a competitive game: split your class into 2-4 teams for extra fun!

- 16 animated tiles covering each farm themed image - the tiles will disappear when you click them **in PRESENT MODE only**
- "Devine l'image" rules
- 1 slide with interrogative sentence structures (question prompts)
