Free Valentine's Day Math Activity Measurement Freebie Grades 3-5

Use this activity to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your students while reviewing the skill of measuring with a ruler to the nearest quarter, half, and full inch. Students will create pixel hearts using the dimensions provided.

Each student will need colored paper for the layers (at least two sheets), rulers, and a sheet of cardstock/ construction paper for the background. I suggest having students lay out the layers before gluing all parts to the background. Enjoy and feel free to tag me on Instagram (@tanyayeroteaching) with photos of your students’ pixel hearts!
