Free Trigonometric Ratios Manipulative

Trigonometric Ratio Word Wall Add On:

This resource was designed to help students learn and remember trig ratios.

Printing this resource will take a lot of ink. However, once it is printed it can be laminated and used for years. There are multiple pieces to this resource. To make it interactive I suggest using sticky putty. Sticky putty will allow pieces to be moved all around and manipulated.

This set includes 2 right triangles. Each triangle has number pieces to place for side lengths. The angles of the triangle are given letter names (A, B, C or D). There are strips that have each of the 6 trig ratios (Ex. Sin( ), Cos( ), etc). Students will manipulate the pieces to find the correct trig ratios. For example, one of the triangles is a 3, 4, 5 triangle. Students may look at an angle in that triangle labeled "C". They could then take one of the trig ratio pieces, say "Sin( )". The first thing they would do is take a piece that says "C" and place that C so that they have "Sin (C) =". They would then find the appropriate number pieces to show what the answer to "Sin(C)" is.
