Description
Engage your fourth grade math students in an exciting mini-escape room activity! A one page handout will get your class started. Students must be able to access a Google Form™, which will guide them through the entire process. This self-checking digital escape room is a quick way to review several 4th grade standards including dividing by a single-digit, rounding to the nearest ten, hundred, or thousand, multiplying four-digit numbers by a single digit, and more!
Students will need to be able to:
- Round four digit whole numbers to the tens, hundreds, and thousands place 4.NBT.A.3
- Subtract four digit numbers 4.NBT.B.4
- Multiply a four-digit whole number by a single digit. 4.NBT.B.5
- Divide a four-digit whole number by a single digit (no remainder). 4.NBT.B.6
This short escape room includes two challenges and is great to use for reviewing rounding whole numbers as well as a quick review of 4th grade multiplication and division. It can be used in small groups or individually. Because teacher involvement is minimal, this activity is great for early finishers, for homework, or as an can be used as an exit card.
This escape room generally takes students between 15-25 minutes to complete. Our full-length, paid escape rooms usually include 4-7 puzzles requiring an average of 45 minutes to complete.
