Description

Fraction Bingo: Adding and Subtracting Fractions with Unlike Denominators is a great way to review adding and subtracting fractions with your class. Simply download and print the boards and cards and you ready for a whole class game of Fraction Bingo. Students will need to find a common denominator, add/subtract the fractions, and then reduce the fraction to simplest form (in some cases this will require making a mixed number from an improper fraction). Each download includes 25 unique boards featuring the same 24 answers, 24 problem cards, and directions. The black and white design makes them easy to reproduce.

Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators (including mixed numbers) by replacing given fractions with equivalent fractions in such a way as to produce an equivalent sum or difference of fractions with like denominators. For example, 2/3 + 5/4 = 8/12 + 15/12 = 23/12. (In general, 𝘢/𝘣 + 𝘤/𝘥 = (𝘢𝘥 + 𝘣𝘤)/𝘣𝘥.)
