Description
In this activity, you will compare the firing pin impressions and markings of various shell casings in order to identify a suspect in a spree of crimes. Includes answer keys and images.
Set up items needed in this lab (not included):
(1) Suspect 1: Picture of Shotgun shell casing (or real casing)
(1) Suspect 2: Picture of Handgun shell casing (or real casing)
(1) Suspect 3: Picture of Rifle shell casing (or real casing)
(1) Crime Scene 1: Matching picture of one shell casing (or real casing)
(1) Crime Scene 2: Picture of additional shell casing (or real casing)
