Description
Have a Food Truck Fair in your classroom! Included is a template for students to use while planning a Food Truck individually or with a partner or small group. The project is great for Foods and Nutrition or Cooking or business classes. Students will have fun decorating and building their own 3-D Food Truck! In my classroom, students use these resources to plan a thematic food truck that has a signature dish. They prepare their signature dish in class and display their dish and truck together. The project is easily adapted to meet the diverse needs in your classroom, and can be extended by adding in a food costing component or an actual food truck fair in which students sell their food to others. The trucks can be printed onto card stock using your school photocopier; since my school photocopier doesn't accomodate 11 x 17" card stock (and I like the trucks to be a bit bigger than what the letter size paper allows) I send my files to a local printer who prints them onto card stock and crimps the fold lines which makes them easier to work with. To put them together, students use double sided tape and an extra set of hands from their partner. I love this project, and so do my students. This resource does not include a complete lesson plan; your purchase includes a planning template for students to use, 3 mix'n'match food truck templates, and 1 food truck trailer template.
