This food truck-themed language BOOM deck targets a variety of functional language skills in a play-based, natural context! Flip and make burgers, tell stories, and more!

This activity targets many language skills. Some of these include:

All of these language skills are embedded into a fun adventure, led by a new friend named Isla!

Because so many skills are targeted and many visual supports are provided, this resource can be used with children who have a wide range of language skills. It can easily be adapted to be easier or more difficult.

Although you can go through the whole deck in one setting and it is meant to flow in sequence, you can split the deck up and spread it across 1-2 weeks (which is what I usually do)!

Although most language targets are embedded, you can use the quick link tabs to jump to some specific language skills or tasks.

Some cards are interactive and others serve to help facilitate the storyline! You may need to use the red arrows to manually move between cards at times.
