Fluency Fans: Fry Phrases {Second 100}

What are Fluency Fans?
Fluency Fans are groups of fan “blades” that students can use to practice their fluent reading of words. This set focuses on phrases using the words found in the second 100 Fry Instant Words. Each blade contains one phrase with 52 fan blades in all.

How To Use Fry Phrases Fluency Fans
Introduce first to your students in small reading groups and then move to a literacy center as an independent activity when appropriate.

How To Assemble Fry Phrases Fluency Fans
-First, print out each page onto colored cardstock.
-Next, cut out each of the fluency fan blades around each border.
-Then, punch a small hole through the circle located at the bottom of each fluency fan blade.
-Last, stack as many or as few fluency fan blades together as you wish and hold together with a brass fastener.
-Another option is to place the fans onto a book ring as seen on the cover.
