First Lego League Explore Oral Presentation- Team Rubric- 1st-3rd Grade

If you have never participated in First Lego League, I highly suggest it!

We are a project based school which requires every elementary classroom, 1st-3rd to participate. This rubric was created for teachers to evaluate teams' presentations upon completion of the project after several weeks time.

Prior to presentation day, I give teams a copy of this rubric and explain that every person must have an equal speaking part and all team members will earn the same score. Teams can/should have a display board, journal, and prototype to aide in their presentation. They can create a skit or short play for the audience that includes all the required topics, or present in an informative fashion. Either way, they are evaluated on their voice/tone, eye contact, and content knowledge. Presentations should be a minimum of 2 minutes and maximum of 4 minutes at this age. I always allow 2-3 questions after the presentations, as well, which makes sure the audience stays engaged.
