What educators are saying

These helped me during the first week of school go over boring procedures! My students called me corny, and I loved every minute of it!
This was a more interesting way to present rules and the students were more engaged when going over the routines.

Description

*Updated June 2018 to add animated GIFS*(Click preview for some more of the memes used in this product) --can be edited to fit your classroom).**PLEASE leave feedback and rate after you have purchased. Thanks!**

Do you ever feel bad for kids on the first day of school? Rules and routines all day long! I started seeing some hilarious e-cards and memes (funny pictures with words on them) on Pinterest and even created many of my own to fit my routines in reading and writing for the first day of school. I think the students will be more engaged than reading and going over it in a packet.

This POWERPOINT document can be edited, so you can use what you want and get rid of what you don't. There are over 60 animated gifs/memes for classroom routines and school rules included.

I included some more pictures of some of the memes in the "preview". Please note, this is not a powerpoint of just memes but incorporates rules and routines and then some pictures of the memes.

Some memes included are around participation, effort, completing homework and turning it on time, when to use the bathroom, how teachers have superpowers to determine when kids have to use the bathroom, walking quietly in the hallway, using the "teacher look", what it should "look like" in a classroom when there is a guest in the room, how to appropriately bring materials to another classroom, a teacher's face when he or she is interrupted by a child when working in a guided group (we've all been there, right?!!), and many more!

Honestly, for how long it took me to find and create over thirty-five memes and ecards you are saving yourself time. Trust me, if you only use this for the memes, it's worth it. The kids are going to be engaged and excited about starting the year with a fun teacher. Have a great year!!

*Please note...Meme pictures can not be edited, but the slides and text boxes can be edited to fit your needs. This presentation was made in PowerPoint 2013 and has the latest features and animations, but if opening in earlier versions of PowerPoint, some of these slide transitions are not compatible.
