First Day of School

First Day of School! On the first day of school, get your students moving around the classroom and interacting with their peers by having them interview a class friend! The first day of school is a great time to build friendships and emphasize the importance of "community" within the classroom. My second grade students enjoy these interviews on the first day of school. They love finding their partner by matching their picture with another. It's a fun movement game within a "get to know you" activity.
