Description

Kids learn about fingerprinting and analyze their own! This set of resources includes reading passages, comprehension questions, an introduction to patterns, a page for recording kids’ fingerprints, and a matching game.

What’s Included:

  • Reading Passages and Comprehension Questions – Kids read about the history of fingerprints and how they are analyzed today. A response sheet and answers are also included.
  • Identifying Worksheet – They learn about patterns and try to identify some themselves.
  • Recording Sheet – Students record their own fingerprints. You can use an ink pad or pencil lead colored darkly on a paper for this.
  • Matching Game – Kids match pairs of fingerprint. Six pairs (twelve cards) are included. Simply cut, shuffle, and let kids match them.

You can use these resources as a part of the Think Like a Detective bundle, which also includes secret codes, invisible ink project, logic puzzles, and observation activities.
