Finding Dory Lessons 1-10 (Social-Emotional Lessons)

Welcome to the 20-week series of lessons, featuring clips from the movie, Finding Dory! The lessons are sold in groups of 5 or 10, or you can purchase the entire set of 20. Part one includes lessons 1-5; part two includes lessons 6-10; part three includes lessons 11-15; and part four includes lessons 16-20. This bundle includes lessons 1-10.

You will need to purchase a copy of the movie as each lesson features a different clip from the movie.

I have used this curriculum with students ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade. Obviously you will need to make small adjustments to some of the lesson plans depending on the age of the students you are using this with.

I have designed each lesson to last approximately 30 minutes, though you could easily shorten lessons to 20 minutes or extend them to 40 minutes with minor adjustments. You could also easily adapt this for use with a full classroom, though the activities were designed for a small group of 3-6 students.

To get started simply open the file for the first lesson and follow the lesson plan as listed. Some lessons contain additional files that you will need to open. They are listed in each lesson plan and found in the group of files.

Please note that the Finding Dory movie might contain some scenes that would be offensive to some. I would recommend that you preview each scene prior to showing it and following your school’s protocol for showing movie clips.
