This product is a great end of the year activity for grades 6-12 in order to teach students about budgeting, finances, expenses, unexpected events, taxes and so much more!
Students will go through life for 5 years experiencing anything from marriage to divorce, babies to promotions! They will need to constantly transform their monthly budget in order to fit their new lifestyles! Each student will have their game of life packet, with all of the information they need!
Teachers have an extensive explanation packet including: 36 occupations with annual salary, tax bracket, amount of debt, and amount in savings for each occupation. They will also have 16 life events that students can choose from (I suggest randomly) for their 5 years of life.
Also included:
1. An Unemployment Board: This is for students who in their life choices have lost their job. They will need to take the hourly wage *30 and then that answer *4 to get their new monthly income. They will then need to select the health insurance that fits their current life situation, which is also included on the unemployment board.
2. A Google Slide Template for students to show their 5 years of life and answer 4 discussion questions.
