It's that wonderful time of the Year "TAX TIME". As you work your way through the “Everyday Life Skills series”, you are ready to embark on this “rite of passage”. Filing a Federal tax return by April 15th each year is expected of ALL working individuals living and working in the United States. This packet will identify terms related to filing a Federal tax return and provide you with the basics of filing your own actual form to receive a refund from the government because you may have overpaid throughout the year.
This set of activities contains lessons with ample explanations and is 35 pages long. Students will learn how to use tax tables and locate their tax liability using actual tax tables, understand many of the terms related to filing a tax return, determine whether to itemize deductions or take the standard deduction, calculate how much money you may have overpaid or underpayed the government, and much more. An answer guide is provided for each lesson
