Description

This is a fun and engaging way to review figurative language devices and sound devices. It also helps students understand why writers use figurative language to enhance their songs. It includes a series of figurative language questions over songs from different genres: You will need to provide song lyrics for students.
Literary devices covered: Metaphor, Simile, Allusion, Symbolism, Theme, Assonance, Rhyme scheme, Internal Rhyme, Hyperbole, Alliteration

BONUS!! Follow up activity included! Take students to the computer lab and have them find and explain their own song lyrics!

*This activity pairs great with my figurative language in songs powerpoint! Check it out in my store!
