Fairytale - A Playscript for a class, a year group or the whole school (60 mins)

This original playscript asks the questions - what would happen in Fairytales if the four witches (Cinderella's wicked stepmother, Hansel and Gretal's gingerbread house living witch, Rapunzel's mother and Snow White's wicked step mother) met? Not only met, but imagine they were friends, sharing tea and cakes at a local coffee shop called "Witches Brew". And from there, imagine if, unhappy with their lot in life, never having a "Happily Ever after", started to plot even more dastardly deeds. What on earth would happen?

This play puts those questions to the test. Meet Dot, Ethel, Mabel and Cybil. Four witches who decide they have had enough of their nearest and dearest getting all the happy endings and decide to take matters into their own hands.

This play, suitable for fluent readers and supported groups, puts a very different spin on well known fairytales - with an unusual twisted ending. It is sure to mesmorise every reader with comedy, drama and an incredible storyline woven between a whole host of well known stories.

I have written this and used it as an end of school production, where over 300 pupils took part. Have fun! There is no need to buy a licence for this script as you have permission within your school to use this resource. Please do not pass to other schools. Thank you.
