What educators are saying

I'm using this during intervention time for my higher leveled readers. They really love it and are engaged.
My homeschooled kids loved these stories! They especially loved the little ccharacters that went with them!

Description

This fairy tales unit includes reader's theater scripts or plays and writing activities, great for 1st grade and 2nd grade students!

This fairy tale unit will be engaging and fun for your students! Three different reader's theater scripts are included along with puppets and many activities, including writing.

This fairy tale resource includes reader’s theater scripts, for...

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

Three Little Pigs,

Jack and the Beanstalk.

The plays or scripts can be used many different ways, keep them in a center, or use for guided reading instruction with an emphasis on fluency and expression. Children love to act out the parts and rereading the parts is great fluency and expression practice.

The puppets or name tags are ready to be cut out and come in color and in black and white. Apply a ruler, stick or tongue depressor to the back of the characters and they will be all ready for your students to put on great puppet plays or reader’s theater for each other.

The scripts are easy enough for first graders to read,

Goldilocks and the Three Bears - 5 speaking parts.

The Three Little Pigs - 5 speaking parts.

Jack and the Beanstalk - 5 speaking parts.

Other activities included in this packet include:

All pages come in black and white.

-Sequencing the story where students cut sentences apart and put together in the right sequence.

-Activity sheet where students will write the lesson learned in the story. An opinion graphic organizer where students write a draft of the lesson learned. This can be used for all the fairy tales.

-Cause and Effect pocket chart activity where students sort under the cause or the effect of the story.

-Story elements sheet where students answer, who, where, when, what, how and why.
