This no prep factoring polynomials resource has guided practice for several types of factoring, including:

    • Greatest Common Factor (GCF)
    • Difference of Squares
    • Perfect Square Trinomials

This factoring practice resource is designed for students at a variety of levels. The idea is that you can choose which pages you need. I have used select pages in on-level Algebra 1 classes. I have also used ALL of the pages in my on-level AND my below-level Algebra 2 courses. I have also used all of the pages to review in an on-level pre-calculus course.

Use the structure of an expression to identify ways to rewrite it. For example, see 𝘹⁴ – 𝘺⁴ as (𝘹²)² – (𝘺²)², thus recognizing it as a difference of squares that can be factored as (𝘹² – 𝘺²)(𝘹² + 𝘺²).
