Fables--A Reading Response Journal for K-2

Fables are so much fun to teach, and students really enjoy them. Even at an early age, I have found that students are skilled at finding “the moral of the story”. After reading a fable, I like to have my students complete a response page in their Fable Journal. Included in this packet are a cover page, as well as 3-4 response choices for each fable listed. I usually choose one page for each fable (whichever page is best suited for your class). I also included a word search. I add this at the end of my fable journals for the early finishers 
