Get your students EXCITED about Black History Month, by allowing them to pick their project to explore!

This project allows for students to explore Black poets, activists, leaders in their community, artists, inventors, and important people from the Harlem Renaissance. All projects involve a writing and presentation component + one extra (such as reciting a poem, interviewing a community leader, painting/drawing a portrait, creating a model replica of an invention, creating a protest poster, etc.).

INCLUDED:
-Generic Information Sheet to send home (input your own due dates)
-6 Detailed Rubrics, for each potential project
-Examples of Black poets, activists, artists, inventors, important people from the Harlem Renaissance, and suggestions of people to interview.

Each project is graded out of 100 points.
