Description

I created this FSA Simulation to simulate the varying levels of rigor on the actual 5th Grade Math FSA. The test includes Session 1 and Session 2, each with 32 questions. It also includes an answer sheet for the student, and an answer key for the teacher, parent, or for the student to self-correct. I have also included a guide that correlates each question number to the Florida Standard (along with the Georgia Standard and the Common Core Standard). This way you can total up the number of questions missed by Domain and/or Standard to see where the most work is needed for the actual FSA.

This test was designed to simulate the Florida FSA, but the standards are very similar to most other states. Therefore this also makes a great practice test for:

Georgia Milestones

Indiana ILEARN

Arizona AZMerit

Ohio OST

Tennessee TN Ready

South Carolina SC Ready

Michigan M-STEP

Kentucky K-PREP

Virginia SOL

Wisconsin Forward

all PARCC and Smarter Balanced State Assessments

other Common Core-based assessments

I have priced this very reasonably compared to other full-length, rigorous simulations that are available online and in various texts, because I want all students and teachers to be able to benefit from it. I hope this helps. If you like it, please provide feedback including how you used it so that other teachers may benefit from your experience. I use this as a practice test and review, but it can also be used for math centers, math talks, homework, small group review, whole group review, etc.

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Convert among different-sized standard measurement units within a given measurement system (e.g., convert 5 cm to 0.05 m), and use these conversions in solving multi-step, real world problems.
Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8). Use operations on fractions for this grade to solve problems involving information presented in line plots. For example, given different measurements of liquid in identical beakers, find the amount of liquid each beaker would contain if the total amount in all the beakers were redistributed equally.
Recognize volume as an attribute of solid figures and understand concepts of volume measurement.
A cube with side length 1 unit, called a “unit cube,” is said to have “one cubic unit” of volume, and can be used to measure volume.
A solid figure which can be packed without gaps or overlaps using 𝘯 unit cubes is said to have a volume of 𝘯 cubic units.
