Description

Are you looking for a self-checking and interactive French polygons activity review? These digital activities make the perfect geometry practice to classify all the 2D shapes according to their properties (angles, sides, and more)! These Google Slides will help your students to identify and sort polygons (triangles, quadrilaterals, and other irregular and regular polygons) more easily.

✨For the paper version of this resource, click HERE! All included in this BUNDLE (25% off)✨

SHAPES: Triangles (equilateral, isosceles, right-angle, scalene), Quadrilaterals (square, trapezoid, parallelogram, rectangle, rhombus), and other polygons (pentagon, hexagon, octagon, decagon, dodecagon), regular and irregular polygons.

This Product Includes:

Anchor charts (5 pages) representing all the polygon families. This makes the perfect resource for introducing 2D shapes!

Teaching tips: How to share digital activities with your students using Google Classroom™ or Google Slides™.

96 task cards: 78 self-checking task cards + 18 drag-and-drop task cards + answer keys.

Keep your students motivated as they learn about geometry!

Self-checking digital task cards:

- Who am I? :  Students will guess each polygon.

- Describe the polygon:  Students will identify all of the names that each shape may have (a square could be a parallelogram, a rhombus, etc.). Then, students can identify their characteristics (number of sides, number of equal angles, etc.)

- A Comprehensive Assessment to check for understanding of all the different polygon families (Drag and drop activity).

- Answer keys (for the comprehensive assessment)

Standards

to see state-specific standards (only available in the US).
Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.
Classify two-dimensional figures based on the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines, or the presence or absence of angles of a specified size. Recognize right triangles as a category, and identify right triangles.
Understand that attributes belonging to a category of two-dimensional figures also belong to all subcategories of that category. For example, all rectangles have four right angles and squares are rectangles, so all squares have four right angles.
Classify two-dimensional figures in a hierarchy based on properties.
