FREE Math Mystery Picture Subtraction | FREE Subtraction Color by Number

This fun, no prep math partner activity will keep your students engaged, excited, and eager to work together to solve a mystery picture! Partner Pictures are math mystery pictures that require two students to solve. Each partner is assigned a section of the mystery picture and must solve problems and color by number to solve part of the picture. Once partners are finished, they put their pages together to reveal the mystery picture.

This free resource includes one emoji mystery picture page, an answer key, and work mat. This activity is great for math centers and early finishers.

2.NBT.5 - Fluently add and subtract within 100 using strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.

4.NBT.4 - Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.

Tips for Using in the Classroom:

1. These activities are great for differentiation, as there are options for different ability levels.

2. Have students use thin clear tape (such as Scotch Tape) to attach the matching sides.

3. Display these in the classroom to put the spotlight on student collaboration.
