Description
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican holiday from October 31-November 2, where they celebrate the lives of loved ones who have passed away.
This PDF packet provides a brief overview of the holiday and discusses sugar skulls, an important decoration that coordinates with the holiday. Included also are two pages of sugar skull coloring pages, as well as a blank skull for students to decorate themselves.
Great for all ages--basic for younger readers to understand, but enjoyable for older students as well. My middle schoolers zentangle in the blank sugar skull as a relaxing brain break activity.
Please check my store for additional smART resources! Don't forget to leave feedback!
