FFA Dog Breed Identification Google Slides Hyperlink Interactive

Encouraging students to study for Career Development Events (CDEs) can be hard. Many students are discouraged from joining FFA because they are intimidated by the piles of tests they need to go through to be successful in their competitions.

This product is a Google Slides interactive that includes the 58 different dog breeds included in the National FFA Small Animal Care Handbook. Students are able to click on the answer they think is correct and will be redirected to a slide that says "right" or "wrong" and will be able to redirect themselves accordingly to the next or previous question. If they are stumped, they can click the next arrow or anywhere on their screen except the answer boxes to see the answer.

I created this product with current and potential FFA members in mind. I believe if we can make studying more enjoyable FFA more students will get involved and stay involved. Although I used the National FFA canine small animal care list to create this interactive, it is not exclusive to Ag teachers and FFA members, but to anyone who would like to learn more about different dog breeds.

I also created this product to be as effective on a bus ride as it is in the classroom. If students have the Google Slides app downloaded to their phone, iPad, or other mobile device they can go through the interactive the same way they would during class, minus everyone screaming out the answer, because, if we are being truthful, how many times do students actually wait until they are called on to answer?

This product was also created not only for the FFA member who is halfway through their senior year with several first-place wins under their belt but also for the seventh grader who stumbled into the ag classroom to ask their advisor about small animal care. The more advanced members can click on the answers on the slide while the less experienced members can click through the slides.

I truly believe if we are able to create a more exciting studying experience we will be able to draw in more FFA members, push active FFA members to broaden their CDE resume, and help our students reach their full potential in their CDEs. With this product you will able to do just that by giving your students access to a Google Slides hyperlink interactive of the National FFA Small Animal Care dog list which they can use to both practice independently and in a group setting.
