help my English, or math, or social studies classes??
Mr. Brocci: Firstly, it's great for Enrichment or Extra-Credit. It's heavy-duty "busywork" that teaches kids how to write. Perfect for kids who finish early
or apathetically blow through your work.
Secondly, the topic of this essay isn’t important and doesn’t have to match one’s class subject. It’s the act or practice of writing about something –anything– correctly and repeatedly that is beneficial to your student and your subject.
Correctly writing an essay about wetlands helps a kid also write about Shakespeare,
famous mathematicians, and World War II.

Tommy Teacher: How does merely re-writing a bunch of sentences help kids become better writers??
Mr. Brocci: Firstly, students can choose to CREATE their own Title, Sentences and Section Headings.
Secondly, the more kids read, the better readers they become. And the more that students practice writing correctly, the better writers they become. The more that kids correctly and repeatedly write, the more likely that proper punctuation, good grammar, and correct syntax incrementally sinks in and becomes second nature.
