Modeling in writing instruction is so important! There is a ready to go teacher model for instruction. Let’s face it… the best model essays and narratives are your own. When you write with and in front of your students and you share bits and pieces of yourself with them – that is the best way to model being a writer. However, as busy teachers pulled in a million directions we’re not always up for it. That’s when a ready to go model writing sample tailored to your prompt is a savior. Whether you use my exact models or you use them to spark ideas of your own, I hope they can be as helpful to you as they are to me year after year.
