What is a Choice Board?
- A choice board gives students several enrichment assignments to choose from, and they get to decide what they complete.
- In this product, students will be given 12 different assignments to choose from. It is completely up to you how many of those assignments you would like your students to complete.
How and When Should I Use These?
- To practice concepts once the material is taught ("Complete any 4 assignments on the choice board")
- Early finisher work
- Homework for an entire week- complete one "choice" per night
- Easy, no prep substitute plans
- ...the sky is the limit!
Benefits of Choice Boards:
- Giving students a choice in their learning encourages a feeling of ownership in their learning. I have been using choice boards for years in my classroom, and I honestly find that students are much more willing to complete whatever work your put in front of them if they have a choice about what they will complete!
- Easy differentiation! You can give each student their own number of choices to complete based on their levels and abilities.
